How we check
PlanVersus compares software plans in tables. Every value in a table is copied from the vendor's own public pricing or help page, and the cell links to that page. We do not test the products, rate them or review them, and we publish no star ratings, scores or user reviews.
Where the numbers come from
- Prices are list prices in US dollars before tax, as the vendor's public pricing page shows them to a visitor in the United States. Promotions and coupons are left out.
- Features come from the vendor's pricing page or help centre. When a page does not say, the cell reads "Not stated" rather than a guess.
- Each vendor's data is kept in a file with a dated change log, published on the change log page.
How often it is re-checked
Once a month a script opens each vendor's public pricing page and the pages behind each checked feature, looks for every price and value we show, and takes a screenshot of the pricing page. Where everything is still there, the page's "Last verified" date moves forward. Where something has changed, the date stays put until a person updates the table. A page whose data is older than 45 days is taken down until it is checked again. The script reads robots.txt, identifies itself as NorwellCompareBot and does not get past logins or bot checks.
How picks are made
Head-to-head pages name no winner: they show which product is ahead on each row. "Best for" pages filter the products by a stated requirement and sort them by a stated rule, both printed on the page. "Alternatives" pages order products by how close their prices and yes or no features are. No rule looks at whether a vendor pays us.
Summaries
The short summary under each table is drafted by an AI model from that table alone, then checked twice before it can publish: a script confirms every number and name in it appears in the table, and a second model checks it says nothing the table does not show. It never comments on quality, support or ease of use.
How this site is paid
PlanVersus is free and has no ads. Some vendors run affiliate programs: when you follow a Visit button and subscribe, the vendor may pay us a share of what you pay, at no extra cost to you. Every Visit button is a paid link in that sense, even for vendors who pay us nothing, so you can treat them all the same way. Vendors cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher or to change a value. A vendor without a program is compared exactly like one with a program.
On 2026-10-21 we belonged to no vendor's program yet; applications were pending.
Who runs it
PlanVersus is a product of Norwell Systems LLC in the United States. It is not affiliated with any vendor it lists. Spot a mistake? Send a correction.
